The state of meditation in its pure form transcends time as it exists eternally in the present moment. The essence of meditation lies in uncovering and acknowledging this innate treasure that is often overlooked. Various spiritual masters like Zen master Dogen, Tibetan yogis, and Indian Advaita teachings all point towards realizing the truth that you are already enlightened, without the need for seeking outside of yourself.

Many spiritual teachers emphasize the presence of divinity within each individual, surpassing societal conditioning. Known by different names like Buddha nature in Buddhism and Brahman in Hinduism, this inner luminous awareness is the core of all experiences and the source of all existence.

The natural radiance of this divine nature shines with love, bliss, and wisdom, yet often gets obscured by the constant pursuit of desires and thoughts. True peace, known as Nirvana, comes from breaking free of the cycle of seeking happiness externally and finding the profound peace within.

The inherent joy and light of awareness are ever-present, waiting to be discovered by delving into the depths of meditation. It is a state of being rather than doing, where one recognizes their true self, untouched by external influences.

While there are various meditation practices like mindfulness and concentration, true meditation goes beyond these fabricated states of mind. It is about recognizing the permanence within oneself, leading to the ultimate realization of one’s pure nature.

Separating true meditation from relative practices, it is essential to understand the obstacles that hinder reaching the pure state of meditation. These hindrances include excessive concentration, setting goals and expectations, being overly controlling, pretending, and lacking trust in one’s authentic self.

Each of these obstacles can be overcome by finding a balance between effort and relaxation, letting go of preconceived notions, releasing control, being genuine, and trusting in the innate wisdom and completeness within.

Embracing the simplicity of just being, rather than seeking external validation or experiences, is the key to experiencing the pure state of meditation. It is a journey towards self-discovery and inner peace, where the true essence of meditation unfolds naturally.
