Please Note: Gochujang is a spicy Korean fermented red chili paste. For this recipe, I prefer using gochujang sauce, specifically the Bibigo brand. Gochujang sauce offers a unique blend of flavors including garlic and sesame, making it a versatile condiment. Alternatively, you can use traditional Korean gochujang paste, which is thicker and spicier with fewer added flavors. If using paste, adjust the quantity to 1 tablespoon and consider enhancing the flavors with ingredients like brown sugar, garlic powder, or ginger.
Another Note: While a nonstick square baking dish is not required, I find that one with higher sides makes it easier to mix all the ingredients in one pan. Feel free to use your preferred baking dish for this recipe. (affiliate link)
