To make things easier, you have the option to skip using a bowl and simply toss your broccoli in oil and salt directly in the air fryer basket. Pour some water into the air fryer below the grates to help with the cooking process and achieve similar results without the extra dish to clean.
Remember that each air fryer is different, so you may need to adjust based on the size and temperature of your specific model. It’s a good idea to work in smaller batches to ensure even cooking. I personally use this air fryer. (affiliate link)
If your broccoli overlaps in the basket initially, don’t worry. It will shrink down as it cooks to form a single layer for the final roasting stage.
If you find that your broccoli isn’t crisping up enough at 375 degrees, try increasing the temperature to 390 or 400!
If you don’t have a basket-style air fryer, that’s perfectly fine! Just follow the first step and then transfer the broccoli to a baking sheet. Think of it as giving the broccoli a little “marination” with moisture. This will help keep the broccoli tender while it roasts, even if it doesn’t absorb all the moisture completely.
