This delightful concoction is creamy, sweet, and bursting with the flavor of fresh blueberries! It’s my go-to pick-me-up for summer days.

How To Make This Blueberry Matcha Latte

Step 1: Make the Blueberry Syrup

Simply combine frozen blueberries and sugar in a jar and let it sit for a few hours to thaw and release their juices.

If you’re in a hurry, you can add a bit of water to the jar or microwave it to speed up the process. You can even gently mash the blueberries to release more juices and create a syrup that pairs perfectly with this drink.

Step 2: Prepare the Matcha

Dissolve the matcha powder in warm water by shaking it up in a jar. I recommend using the Jade Leaf Matcha Latte mix.

Step 3: Add Your Milk of Choice

Combine the matcha and oat milk (or your preferred milk) in a glass. For a layered effect, pour the oat milk over a spoon to keep the layers separate.

Drizzle the delectable blueberry syrup into the glass.

Hi there! I can’t get enough of this blueberry matcha latte!

This drink features a creamy oat milk base with a concentrated matcha kick and a swirl of shortcut blueberry syrup that creates beautiful layers of white, green, and purple, capturing the essence of summer.

I discovered this recipe on @schoolnightvegan’s Instagram account and couldn’t wait two weeks for the blueberry syrup to be ready, so I opted for this quicker version. Using frozen blueberries speeds up the process (2-3 hours!) and yields a rich, flavorful blueberry syrup.

Frozen blueberries impart a slightly stronger taste compared to fresh ones, which enhances the syrup’s flavor. If you prefer a milder blueberry syrup, I suggest following the full 2-week process. But if, like me, you’re not one to wait two weeks for anything, especially a drink you urgently crave, this quick blueberry syrup is the perfect solution for a deliciously fruity beverage.

As someone sensitive to caffeine, I was initially concerned about the drink being too stimulating, especially in the afternoon. With about a third of the caffeine content of a cup of coffee, I’ve found it provides just the right amount of energy to combat the afternoon slump while still allowing me to unwind and sleep peacefully at night.

But the real reason I adore this drink is its delightful, summery, and flawless taste. The combination of fresh blueberries, creamy oat milk, and vibrant matcha creates a heavenly flavor profile.
