Find What Works Best For You
1. Water-
Water has a grounding effect, so try soaking in a warm bath with epsom salts or sipping on some warm tea.
2. Exercise
Going for a run always lifts my spirits, regardless of what’s going on. Yoga is also incredibly beneficial for me, but the key is to get your body moving and release any negative energy. Walk, bike, hike, dance…just get active.
3. Spending time with my pets
Connecting with my dogs by lying on the floor is incredibly calming for me. If you don’t have a pet, consider asking a neighbor if you can spend some time with theirs. Their pet would likely appreciate the extra attention.
4. Journaling
Allowing your thoughts and emotions to flow freely while focusing on them can be incredibly therapeutic. Grab a pen and let it all out on paper.
5. Prayer
Sometimes, simply asking the Universe for guidance and a fresh perspective on a situation can be helpful. Don’t hesitate to seek assistance.
6. Extra meditations
While my morning meditation routine keeps me balanced, sometimes I need a little boost during the day. Even just 3 minutes of meditation can make a difference. Consider trying a guided meditation –

7. Reiki
Being Reiki 1 certified allows me to practice energy work on myself. This practice can be incredibly beneficial. Look into finding a friend who is certified and willing to provide some extra practice.
8. Time in nature
Taking a short walk around the block or basking in the sun in my backyard can be restorative. Just a minute or two is all it takes.
9. Grounding Crystals
I find working with grounding crystals like smoky quartz or black tourmaline helps me stay balanced. Give them a try!
10. Exhaling
Exhaling allows us to release stress and tension. With each inhale, we have the opportunity to decide what we bring in next. Will it be stress and anxiety, or calm and peace? The choice is yours.
11. Reading
Getting lost in a good book is a great way to take a break from the day’s challenges. After a chapter or two, I usually feel ready to tackle whatever comes my way.
12. Sing
I may not have the best singing voice, but I love belting out tunes when I’m alone in my car. Whether it’s Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, or Stevie Nicks, singing brings me joy. Just don’t let anyone else hear me!
These suggestions may help you the next time you’re feeling a bit off.
