First and foremost, I want to express my apologies for my absence. Life’s demands took over, leaving me tired and distracted. However, I realized how much I missed this space. Writing here feels like reconnecting with myself, and I’m grateful to be back.

Here we are, stepping into a new year! There’s something different about this year, a subtle shift that’s hard to put into words. It’s not a dramatic change, but rather a feeling in your heart that something is evolving.

This year holds significant changes for me, and I’m genuinely excited. Yet, I strive to approach this excitement with a sense of balance. I don’t want to burden this year with lofty expectations, only to feel disappointed if things don’t unfold as planned.

I’ve come to understand the weight of expectations. I seek space for flexibility, room for surprises.

Instead of chasing grand achievements or unrealistic goals, I choose stability. Being present. Engaging in small, meaningful actions.

I hold hope for 2026. Excited yet grounded. Open to possibilities without seeking guarantees.

I’m not aiming to reinvent myself this year. That notion feels exhausting. My focus is on authenticity. I want this year to be genuine, lived fully. I aim to show up as my true self, navigating each day with a blend of motivation and introspection.

If you’ve already set goals for this year, that’s wonderful.
If you haven’t begun yet, that’s perfectly fine too.
And if you’ve already encountered setbacks in your resolutions, please be kind to yourself.

Over time, I’ve learned the value of setting realistic goals. In the past, I overwhelmed myself with unattainable aspirations, only to feel disheartened when I couldn’t keep up. Now, I approach things differently. I focus on just three achievable goals that align with my life.

So, here are my goals for 2026:

First: prioritize quality time with loved ones.
Experiencing loss earlier this year has been incredibly challenging. Grief has reshaped my perspective on time, emphasizing the importance of shared moments, conversations, and presence. I aim to cherish these moments, to prioritize human connection.

Second: reduce time spent indoors and on screens.
While working from home offers flexibility, I’ve realized that venturing outside fosters creativity and motivation. This year, I intend to explore new environments: cafes, coworking spaces, workshops, and social gatherings. Engaging with different settings and people positively impacts my mood and overall well-being.

Third: prioritize physical activity.
Simple activities like outdoor walks and pilates, not for appearance but for mental clarity. Movement enhances my well-being and sets the stage for a healthier future.

My younger self may have found these goals mundane, yet they resonate with me now. They promote well-being for myself and those around me, and that’s fulfilling enough.

I wish for both you and me to embrace presence this year.
Let’s savor each day rather than rush through them.
