It’s already (almost) the end of February.
I can’t believe how quickly time has flown by.
So I’ve been reflecting: How am I really doing?
I’ve been prioritizing quality time with loved ones. This means being fully present, putting my phone away, and cherishing moments together. Losing a family member earlier this year has shifted my perspective on what truly matters. And right now, presence is key. I don’t want to miss out on life because I’m too busy scrolling through my phone.
I’ve been consciously reducing my screen time. I haven’t completely disappeared from technology, but I’m more mindful of when to disconnect. Opting for eye contact over notifications has had a positive impact on my mental clarity.
As for my goal of spending less time indoors, I’m making progress. I’m saying yes to spontaneous outings, quick coffee breaks, and walks in the fresh air. However, balancing work from home has been a challenge. The flexibility of my job blurs the boundaries between work and personal time, leading to long hours indoors. This is something I aim to improve in March by setting clear boundaries and prioritizing outdoor breaks.
I’ve also started incorporating more movement into my routine. From weekly Pilates sessions to regular walks, I’m focusing on consistency rather than intensity. It’s amazing how these simple activities can lift my spirits.
And now, with March approaching, I’m looking forward to the change of season.
I’m excited for longer daylight hours, open windows, vibrant flowers, and leisurely strolls in the warmth of spring. The energy that spring brings is truly invigorating.
I’m committed to embracing these simple joys:
Connecting with friends, taking walks, stepping away from work, putting my phone down, stretching, and showing up for myself.
Choosing presence every single time. 🤍
How has your February been? What are you looking forward to in March? 🤍
