It’s important for everyone to take a break and rest when needed. Often, we keep pushing ourselves until our bodies send us signals to slow down. Whether it’s a minor ailment like a cold or a more serious issue like the flu, our bodies eventually reach a point where they can’t keep going at the same pace.
Every action we take requires Qi, the vital energy in our bodies. Whether we’re eating, exercising, or working, we’re using up this energy. However, we can also replenish Qi by eating nourishing foods, getting enough sleep, and practicing Qigong. The key is to strike a balance between using up Qi for daily tasks and saving some for our overall health.
Unfortunately, many of us ignore our body’s signals and continue pushing ourselves beyond our limits. When we reach a point of exhaustion, our bodies start tapping into our reserves of inborn Qi to keep going. This is when we start feeling drained and running on empty.
Instead of depleting our reserves…
- Give yourself permission to slow down.
- Start or increase your Qigong practice.
Remember, every activity we engage in requires Qi. It’s important to use it wisely!
